Okay, so I switched to comcast high speed internet from DSL as part of the 'big move'. Now however, when I go to send out my email updates to folks, a whole bunch bounce. It doesn't seem super consistent either. For example, tonight EVERY hotmail account bounced.
Any ideas? I talked to a Comcast tech and he was worthless.

Comcast techs are ALWAYS worthless.
The only thing I can think of is that Hotmail has deemed the ip address to be from a spammer and didn't allow the messages to pass.
One thing you can do is reset the modem's ip address (by resetting it) and seeing if they will go through then.
The only other thing might be the e-mail address you selected having been used with spoofing to disallow it from being received from Hotmail as well. - set up one of the seconday e-mail accounts and see if you have the same issue

is this a comcast domain or yours? if it's yours and the dns record for your MX hasn't been updated you may be detected as spam...

It's comcast doing the bumping. I don't get a bounce back after sending the email - I get it and it won't let the email go through for ANY account I'm sending it to because one of them gets a 'permit denied' error from Comcast.
Idiots. It has nothing to do with the bcc feature of outlook either, because I tried simply sending an email to a hotmail account last night, and got the same error.

so you're using a comcast account and a comcast smtp server to send mail and you are not receiving bounces?

I attempt to send an email - the entire email is rejected immediately by the comcast server because one or more of the recipients gets a 'permit denied' error.

ah, yeah, that's definitely a problem with comcast... try a different smtp box... what one are you using now?
